I really like the Classic Black and White Film feel to this image with your treatment, like a contemporary Walker Evans.
The " windows on others lives" imparted by the window frames set against the fading signs really arrested my attention.

I like this “ slice of life” picture with the accompanying story.
For me I prefer this type of traditional “ reportage” rather than dramatically grabbed “ street photography” as it is labelled these days.....your capture reminds me of the “ Picture Post” genre from the 1950’s. Thanks for sharing it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this classic image presented in monochrome with a well judged tonality retaining subtlety in the highlight and shadow tones as well as rendering crisp textural interest throughout.
The verticals of the trunks allow us to enjoy the intervals in between with the sloping diagonal and entwining growth surrounding the principal trunk creating a natural focal point.
Nicely judged throughout

You have "nailed " this one.
The depth of colour captured without exaggeration, all within a securely resolved composition enhanced by the symmetry of the reflection, with the element of the inclined tree and two small elements on the gravel point to the left , beautifully resolving it all.
Bravo !

Classic Monochrome treatment well handled, eschews any affected over stylisation.

Maybe tonalities in localised areas could be fine tuned to good effect.

Enjoyed this , thanks

Indulges the 18mm perspective so well with a superb orchestration of composition, colour and light .....all hinging on the distant offshore island. Memorable

Lovely to see Ilford Pan F image again ! You have done well in managing the contrast.
Zooming in on image reminded me of Michelangelo Antonioni’s fin “ Blow Up”
Thoroughly enjoy your images !

I like the way which the composition is contained within the vertical "slats" of glass , like Modernist Art which emphasises the lady. Curious as to why the Perfumer is wearing a mask.

I regularly appreciate and enjoy your " Classic " photographic images , they are particularly satisfying in their monochrome film tonality with the emphasis on tonality , texture, and form.

I like how you have captured the mystery and slightly ominous quality of street lighting very effectively with the monochrome treatment and wide aperture .

A combination of an imaginative viewpoint with a classic high contrast treatment reminiscent of Lith film. Originality shines through.

A wonderful drama captured here with rich contrasts of tone and colour reminiscent of a High Renaissance pairing.

An excellent capture in the Classic Mode of Jazz lighting, strong contrast, expressive facial expression and beautiful “ bokeh” rendered in the background...high ISO performance impressive does not comprise quality of rendering Memorable

You have retained a pleasing luminousity banishing the dark forest interpretation so often indulged in this type of image

The Monochrome treatment is absolutely right and captures a gentle nostalgia for me. A pleasantly luminous light permeates the image and enhances all the textural details .

You have captured the subtlety of the plumage so well whilst isolating from background effectively
