Forever and always
Nice a mirror image life and death of a leaf.

Hope you are recovering and things are getting back to normal. Keep walking and posting pictures :)

I like this “ slice of life” picture with the accompanying story.
For me I prefer this type of traditional “ reportage” rather than dramatically grabbed “ street photography” as it is labelled these days.....your capture reminds me of the “ Picture Post” genre from the 1950’s. Thanks for sharing it.

Looks like he could really use a couple of folding tables.
Its nice that the photo accurately depicts the same story as you have described.

Thanks Terence,
I appreciate the compliment.
I'd really like to hear why you like the picture, as opposed to just telling me that you do.

Interresting photo!
As an old "Deckhand" in the merchant navy, I see right away that we here have a rather old vessel (a veteran?) because she was built with rivets holding the steel-plates together, a technic that was abandoned in the 1920-1930 when welding was implemented in shipsbuilding.

Thanks for uploading this image for us to see.

Best regards,
Walter

Thanks Ivan.
I always loved Gene Smith's shot, and this paid homage to him, (although his photo was more dramatic than mine).

Artistic in every way. Very nice shot. Film has an effect which cannot be surpassed. Note the latest movie releases on Kodak film from Holywood.

First thought was W. Eugene Smith...and then I saw comment. :-)

Hys,
Thanks for the kind comment.
When I went to make this shot, the photogods smiled down on me.

Herbert,
Thank you for the kind words.
I too love the look of Ektachrome, and all E-6 stocks for that matter. Which is why I only shoot colour slide and not Digital of any kind.
