This is a native Australian Marsupial Mouse and NOT a rodent. A Marsupial Mouse is like a Kangaroo and Wallaby etc in that they carry their young in a pouch. It is about the same size as a regular mouse and they eat small insects, lizards and grubs. They are very uncommon and are not usually seen in the day time.
