Smoke over the East Slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains from California Wildfires.<br />

The "Creek Fire" is responsible for most of the smoke though it was dozens of miles away. <br />
<br />
Ultimately the Creek Fire claimed nearly 380,000 acres of forest and became the largest single wildfire in California History. It started on Sept 4. 2020 and was mot declared 100% contained until Dec 24. 2020<br />
