Smoke over the East Slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains from California Wildfires.
The "Creek Fire" is responsible for most of the smoke though it was dozens of miles away.
Ultimately the Creek Fire claimed nearly 380,000 acres of forest and became the largest single wildfire in California History. It started on Sept 4. 2020 and was mot declared 100% contained until Dec 24. 2020
