It was just bare lens Phil, it's what I use for all my shots like this.

Very sharp as expected Iain! Bare lens or tubes as well? The 300mm is great for close ups, Ronnie Gaubert always used his with tubes rather than a dedicated macro lens. Its the reason I bought mine but have nt used it much as the Sigma 150 is so good with the Kenko 1.4xTC!
