2 of which I have myself - the 16-35 and the 70-200 both f/4 (which are lighter to carry than their f/2.8 siblings) and I love the both! In between those 2 I use my secondhand bought Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 which is not too bad in sharpness - but it's not a Nikon!! Why so high ISO? 25.600 seems a bit "overkill"? Don't get me wrong - one cannot see too much noise in the low-light area, but 6.400 would not have done the trick, with stationary objects ...? Best regards, Walter

Thank you very much, Terence Weaver - I am glad I touched a nerve there. Myself, I like most of all the cars from the late 50'is to early 60'is - I guess it's a personal feeling - beeing a 48'-model myself ...! :o)

Thanks again, Terence - I am not sure about the model. It is a Oldsmobile though. I am not really an Amcar-expert or Amcar-owner myself. I just LOVE the old designs from 1948 up to about mid-sixties. Certainly the 50's and very early 60-s were the highlight of American car design (surprisingly coinciding With my own youth - I am a '48-model myself ...)! These cars make Perfect motives when cought at the rigth time and angle. Best regards

I really like the Classic Black and White Film feel to this image with your treatment, like a contemporary Walker Evans. The " windows on others lives" imparted by the window frames set against the fading signs really arrested my attention.

Your control over your soft lighting adds a compelling impact to your billowing clouds of such subtle coloring. Outstanding.

I like this “ slice of life” picture with the accompanying story. For me I prefer this type of traditional “ reportage” rather than dramatically grabbed “ street photography” as it is labelled these days.....your capture reminds me of the “ Picture Post” genre from the 1950’s. Thanks for sharing it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this classic image presented in monochrome with a well judged tonality retaining subtlety in the highlight and shadow tones as well as rendering crisp textural interest throughout. The verticals of the trunks allow us to enjoy the intervals in between with the sloping diagonal and entwining growth surrounding the principal trunk creating a natural focal point. Nicely judged throughout

Love that bokeh. Does magic to the colors. Is that 105 living up to all the hype? It certainly looks good on here.

You have "nailed " this one. The depth of colour captured without exaggeration, all within a securely resolved composition enhanced by the symmetry of the reflection, with the element of the inclined tree and two small elements on the gravel point to the left , beautifully resolving it all. Bravo !
