Thanks to hys for his ever so enthusiastic voting of *Likes* to my images. I really appreciate that you take the time to view my photos. This "gang" of workers in the picture, are the local "Jack of all Trades" - keeping the wooden docks tidy and in good mainternance and keeping an eye on everything. This is the Museum-harbour where all the old wooden boats are tied up. Thanks again, hys! :o)

Thank you for your 'Like' to this image, hys! These wooden boats were built around 1920, so they are close to 100 years old now ...

Thanks for the explanation about the SP 15-30mm, Robert. I remember your Death-Valley images very well. As a matter of fact, I used a link to those (your) images, in one on-line dicussion about lens-flare in my Norwegian Photo-Forum, as an example about the Tamrons good lens-coating (compared to Nikons). https://foto.no/cgi-bin/diskusjon/lesTraadHier.cgi?id=784228#t784287 :o)

Walter, Thank you for your kind words and 'Like' of this image. As you noted, tornadic/tornado activity can be both frightening and beautiful. Thankfully, there were no damages to people or property. The Tamron SP 15-30mm is a wonderful lens! Previously, I had the Nikkor 16-35 VR, which was also great, but the 15-30 extra stop, and slightly wider angle of view were enough of a difference for me to trade. The Tamron is a bit heavier and bigger than both the Nikkor 14-24 and 16-35, but again a trade-off I was willing to accept. The convex front element does lend itself to some flare, but nothing terrible. The integrated hood and internal coatings appear to control it well. There were a couple shots in Death Valley that I thought might be really problematic, but at most there was a spot or two that were easily fixed during PP. Hopefully, this information is helpful for you, and others too. Best regards, Robert

WOW! What dramatic sky you have pictured here!! Frightening, and at the same time, very beautiful! This Tamron SP 15-30mm is my next "dream" - when I have sold my now AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED - which has a terrible problem with lens-flare under such conditions.
