Photo was taken during a work trip to Adelaide in Australia.
After dinner, I've decided to go for a drive and 'visit' Adelaide as I'll be flying out straight after work is done, there is no time to see Adelaide at all.
Got my camera with me, asked the hotel concierge of a general direction and off I go in the rental car heading towards Port Adelaide.
Was looking for a harbour/ship yard site.. however after circling around for approximately one and half hour I came across a row of cargo trains that has been griffitied on. They looked really vivid!!
I was over joyed with the find and quickly set up the camera on the tripod and manually flashed the cargo train multiple times.. by pressing the flash test button... as I've only 1 flash and I really needed a lot of light to light up the train without the sky coming in too strong.
I thought this picture fits the theme of the contest, as the normally dull cargo train is coated in a vivid orange paint before street artists added their own touches to it - hence "Color Me Bold".
yes. there are 3 Nikon SB-900's used off camera for this one. Key light coming from camera right at about 4 o'clock. fill and rim coming from camera left at about 8 o'clock and 11 o'clock respectively (and the Sun behind him for a little more rim). Fired with Pocket Wizard radio triggers.
thanks for looking!
Actually I just shot it under the given light. (Cuz I still haven't study for flash light shooting yet)
:(
The light was too low and you won't even see her face clearly with naked eyes.
The candle light she made it for her pottery show and the light from next pottery shop helped me get a shot with Nikon 50mm f2.0 (hand held).
It took just very few seconds that her face showed up face to the candle light. Pheww. Luckily I got the shot...
Thank you.....
But if the door wasn't there, you won't get the feeling like you were sitting there and your status of mind has just left you for somewhere you don't physically belong.....
It's just how I shot it.
:)
Thank you :)
