I really like the Classic Black and White Film feel to this image with your treatment, like a contemporary Walker Evans.
The " windows on others lives" imparted by the window frames set against the fading signs really arrested my attention.
An old image from August 2012 with my trustet old D300s, just to let you know I am still alive. I am sorry to have deserted this site for so long, but I really have switched more or less to Fujifilm system and all my Nikon gear stays at home - every time.
On top of that, I do not find much inspiration in this site any more, after the complete change of UI - it has become somehow sterile, IMHO

I've been bad for the last six or seven months and haven't been shooting much at all. Last Sunday, I was downtown and waiting for my wife and grand-daughter so I went to Kensington to kill time and walked around. I passed one of the neighbourhood stores that deals in used goods of every description. The owner always brings a ton of merchandise out onto the sidewalk, and then spends the day sitting on the doorstep reading the paper. I liked the story, and grabbed this shot.

I like this “ slice of life” picture with the accompanying story.
For me I prefer this type of traditional “ reportage” rather than dramatically grabbed “ street photography” as it is labelled these days.....your capture reminds me of the “ Picture Post” genre from the 1950’s. Thanks for sharing it.
Sorry, it was also posted on the nikon site , i did post it under "non Leica photos" in the leica gallery section, i just thought that someone might enjoy looking at that beautiful moon in the LeicaImages section. :)

Classic Monochrome treatment well handled, eschews any affected over stylisation.
Maybe tonalities in localised areas could be fine tuned to good effect.
Enjoyed this , thanks

Indulges the 18mm perspective so well with a superb orchestration of composition, colour and light .....all hinging on the distant offshore island. Memorable
