This one is also at minimum distance, but 3D object works better. As focus move rearward away from the center.

This one is on flat subject. At minimum distance, field curvature is quite visible.

Sorry Walter2 for late reply .. I was just engrossed by viewing others work which is a lesson for me.. Lens used is Nikkor 18 -140 mm( kit lens) with Nikon D 7100 Thank you for kind comments

Thanks! Red Bull, it gives you wings. lol The area where I took this shot has a boardwalk that snakes through the whole preserve. Many of the nests are at eye level from this walkway.
